The Clermont Foundation
The Jacques A. Clermont Memorial, Inc. (JACMF) is a charitable, non-profit organization established in the memory of Dr. Jacques A. Clermont, whose life ended tragically in a car accident in 1995. The JACMF opened as a center for homeless children in Dr. Clermont’s hometown of Jacmel in 2003. Currently there are 22 boys at the center, where the foundation provides shelter, food, clothing, and a chance at education. Thousands of children have become orphaned as a result of the earthquake and The Clermont Center hopes to open its doors to even more children in need.
