August 14th Peirce Mill Run

This week we’re running in Rock Creek Park in DC. We’ll be running 12 miles on Rock Creek Trail and Beach Drive (8 miles for new half marathoners).
We start at 7 AM. The location is Peirce Mill (there are four parking lots close by). You can also park on Shoemaker Street and Spring of Freedom Lane near the embassies.
Here’s the google map link for Peirce Mill - http://tinyurl.com/yq5nqr ; you should use the directions function in google maps to get the route best for you. Note that Beach Drive closes to through traffic at 7AM (that’s why we can run on it) and is totally closed between Broad Branch and Joyce Roads – so plan accordingly. You can drive that route if you arrive on time but can’t leave that way.
