across from Clarendon Metro Station.

Come for the 5-mile group run at 7:00 pm; stay for the class. Spring 2007 Semester:

  • Tuesday, April 3, 2007 [First Tuesday after Cherry Blossom 10 Miler]: Dr. Bernard Etherly, chiropractor and triathlete, "Turning Ouch! into Ahhhh.......Prevention of, and Recovery from, Running Injuries”

  • Tuesday, April 10, 2007: Chris Farley, Owner - Pacers Running Store, veteran elite marathoner, "The Top Ten Things You Didn't Know about Running Shoes"

  • Tuesday, April 17, 2007: t.b.d.

  • Tuesday, April 24, 2007: John Steitz, marathon coach and foe of the 14th Street Bridge, "Hydration Myths and Strategies for the Distance Athlete"

  • Each class is a 30-minute presentation followed by 15 minutes of Q&A
  • Our host, Pacers, is located at 3100 Clarendon Blvd. in Arlington, across the street from the Clarendon Station on Metrorail's Orange Line. Pacers hosts a 5-mile group run at 7 pm and is open for business until 8 pm the night of the seminars. After-hours street and off-street free parking is available nearby. DO NOT PARK AT WACHOVIA BANK -- THEY TOW!
  • After each College course, ACF presents certificates to all participants.

  • The College concludes with ACF's "College of Running" on Saturday, May 5, 2007, 2:00 to 6:00 PM, at Courtyard by Marriott, 2700 Eisenhower Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22314, at the pre-race expo for the Potomac River Run Marathon and Half Marathon. All are welcome.
